Sine Wave

Introduction

The sine wave is the basis of all periodic signals and is omnipresent in many fields of signal processing. Therefore, it is important to master its characteristics.

A sine wave can be defined in the time domain, or the frequency domain through its Fourier transform. Moreover, in some contexts, its autocorrelation or its distribution can be useful. What is interesting is that the power of a sine wave can be obtained from any of these four representations!
